39 Weeks

How Far Along? 39 Weeks

Maternity Clothes?  It's all I can wear.  Some of my tops are even starting to get a little short, I'm hoping this means the baby is dropping down.  I'm not working this week so I've been able to stay pretty comfortable in my jeans and comfy tops.

Weight Gain? Not exactly sure.  I know it's over 30 pounds.  The doctor I saw this week actually mentioned that I have lost 0.2 lbs between my last two appointments.  She didn't say it was a concern though so I'm guessing I was still measuring correctly.

Stretch Marks? Still none that I can see, I'm thinking I'm going to find some hanging out under my belly after delivery though.  My belly button is now officially sticking out - it's very strange looking.

Sleep? This is still bad.  I'm waking up multiple times a night and sometimes can't fall back asleep.  Amazingly I'm not too tired during the day which is good.  Maybe my body is just prepping me for the lack of sleep I'll have after the baby is born.

Best Moment of the Week: Celebrating the holidays with my family.  We had a wonderful time - I can't believe that next year we'll be celebrating the holidays with our son :)

Weirdest Comment: On Christmas Eve at church someone came up to talk to me, then touched the top of my stomach (so inappropriate, by the way).  She commented that the baby hadn't 'dropped' yet so I'd be pregnant for at least 2 more weeks.  Later my sister asked if the woman was a nurse or something because she seemed so sure of what she was saying....nope, high school English teacher!  I really wish people would keep their thoughts to themselves.

Movement?  Yep, still good here.  Every once in a while I get worried that I haven't felt him in a while but if I pay attention for just a few minutes I almost always feel him doing something.

Gender?  It's a boy!

What I miss? Being able to bend over easily.  Feeling like I have enough clothes to wear.

Symptoms: Feeling tired; lots of contractions, which I wish were being more productive - there was no change at all in my cervix between my last two appointments :(

Milestones:Full-term!  Now we're just waiting for the baby to make his arrival.  I'm really hoping that something will happen in the next few days since I'd really like to avoid an induction.
