How Far Along? 39 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? It's all I can wear. Some of my tops are even starting to get a little short, I'm hoping this means the baby is dropping down. I'm not working this week so I've been able to stay pretty comfortable in my jeans and comfy tops.
Weight Gain? Not exactly sure. I know it's over 30 pounds. The doctor I saw this week actually mentioned that I have lost 0.2 lbs between my last two appointments. She didn't say it was a concern though so I'm guessing I was still measuring correctly.
Stretch Marks? Still none that I can see, I'm thinking I'm going to find some hanging out under my belly after delivery though. My belly button is now officially sticking out - it's very strange looking.
Sleep? This is still bad. I'm waking up multiple times a night and sometimes can't fall back asleep. Amazingly I'm not too tired during the day which is good. Maybe my body is just prepping me for the lack of sleep I'll have after the baby is born.
Best Moment of the Week: Celebrating the holidays with my family. We had a wonderful time - I can't believe that next year we'll be celebrating the holidays with our son :)
Weirdest Comment: On Christmas Eve at church someone came up to talk to me, then touched the top of my stomach (so inappropriate, by the way). She commented that the baby hadn't 'dropped' yet so I'd be pregnant for at least 2 more weeks. Later my sister asked if the woman was a nurse or something because she seemed so sure of what she was saying....nope, high school English teacher! I really wish people would keep their thoughts to themselves.
Movement? Yep, still good here. Every once in a while I get worried that I haven't felt him in a while but if I pay attention for just a few minutes I almost always feel him doing something.
Gender? It's a boy!
What I miss? Being able to bend over easily. Feeling like I have enough clothes to wear.
Symptoms: Feeling tired; lots of contractions, which I wish were being more productive - there was no change at all in my cervix between my last two appointments :(
Milestones:Full-term! Now we're just waiting for the baby to make his arrival. I'm really hoping that something will happen in the next few days since I'd really like to avoid an induction.

Week 37 and 38
How Far Along? 38 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? All the time. Every once in a while I can make a non-maternity item work, like a cardigan that I don't button or a hooded sweatshirt, but that's it.
Weight Gain? Not exactly sure. I know it's over 30 pounds, but the doctor keeps saying it's right on track.
Stretch Marks? Still none that I can see, I'm thinking I'm going to find some hanging out under my belly after delivery though. My belly button is looking really strange though.
Sleep? Ugh! This is not going well. I still fall asleep pretty easily but wake up a few times a night to use the bathroom or because I'm just not comfortable. I seem to wake up at least once between 3 and 5 AM and sometimes just end up getting up because I'm not able to fall back asleep.
Best Moment of the Week: Finishing up work before the holidays. I'm hoping that I won't have to go back after New Years, but I know he'll arrive whenever he's ready.
Weirdest Comment: The other day the receptionist at my office asked when my baby was due. After I told her she said, I figured it was soon because your timer is about to pop out. Hmmmm - I've really only ever said hello to this woman before.....
Movement? Yep, still good here. Every once in a while I get worried that I haven't felt him in a while but if I pay attention for just a few minutes I almost always feel him doing something.

Symptoms: Feeling tired; lots of contractions, which I wish were being more productive. I guess 1 cm. is better than nothing though!
Milestones: Reaching full-term! I think all that's left is the birth of a healthy baby :)

Week 36
How Far Along? 36 Weeks (somehow I just realized today that my last update was at 31 weeks.....)
Maternity Clothes? All the time. Every once in a while I can make a non-maternity item work, like a cardigan that I don't button or a hooded sweatshirt, but that's it.
Weight Gain? 30 pounds, I think. My doctor's office always just says my weight is right on track.
Stretch Marks? I still haven't seen any of these yet. I'm wondering if they are under my belly where I can't see.
Sleep? This seems to be getting worse. I can still fall asleep pretty easily, but wake up several times a night now. Sometimes it's to use the bathroom, sometimes it's because I'm in an uncomfortable position, sometimes it's because my cat is kicking me, the list could go on and on. Usually I can fall back asleep, but sometimes I end up laying there for a while.
Best Moment of the Week: (Several weeks of moments) Learning baby is still head down! Having my family's baby shower. Finishing up childbirth classes. Deciding on a daycare.
Weirdest Comment: I don't know if this is weird, but the closer I get to my due date the more comments people want to make to me about labor and delivery. Things like, well your first baby is always late. Yes, some first babies are late, but some also come on time, and some come early. I'm not expecting the baby to come early, but I just find people's unneeded comments to be really annoying.
Movement? Yes, all the time. His movements are more and more interesting now too. I can always feel his back pushing out on the left side and sometimes I think he's stretching way out and his feet will poke out on the other side.
Gender? It's a boy!
What I miss? Being able to take full breaths; getting comfortable to sleep; being able to bend over easily.
Symptoms: Pain in my ribs, lots of movement, feeling tired more quickly, getting out of breath easily.
Milestones: We are so close to full-term. It's really starting to sink in that this baby is coming, it's so surreal to pray and plan for something for so long and now to realize it's finally going to come true in just a few short weeks. It's amazing!

Weeks 29 and 30
How Far Along? 29 and 30 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? All the time on the bottom and most of the time on the top. It's finally cooling off here, our weather has been kind of wacky this year, which is good because most of the tops I have are long sleeved, although my office has been ridiculously hot lately!
Weight Gain? 27 pounds, I think. They never tell me my official weight gain at my appointments, just that my weight is good.
Stretch Marks? The one that I thought I noticed turned out to be nothing, I guess. I can't seem to find it now. I'm still surprised these haven't happened yet. My mom got a lot of them during pregnancy and I had a few during growth spurts as a kid.
Sleep? Pretty good lately, I usually just wake up once a night to use the bathroom.
Best Moment of the Week: Finding out that I wasn't going into labor early. I was seriously freaked out by contractions I was having. They weren't painful but I was terrified by the idea of the baby coming so early.
Weirdest Comment: When my MIL saw me last weekend the first thing she asked me was, "So any complications?" Really? Not an appropriate first question. Needless to say I didn't tell her about the contractions I had been having.
Movement? Yes, all the time. I still only feel it when I'm sitting down though. He's also starting to have bigger movements where you can see it from the outside.
Gender? It's a boy!
What I miss? Being able to take full breaths
Symptoms: Pain in my ribs, contractions, lots of movement!
Milestones: We had our first (and second - that one was a surprise) baby showers! I know I never posted about the triple baby shower. That's coming, I guess I was side-tracked by the contractions!
We started child birth classes last week. That really made it feel like we're getting close to meeting this little guy.
Emotions: This past week I was really scared that I was going to go into labor early. What an awful feeling! I'm pretty confident though that things will be okay now. The positive results from the fetal fibr.one.ctin test was the only thing that wasn't good and according to my doctor you can get a false positive on that sometimes. They are going to recheck it at my next appointment.

Weeks 26-28
How Far Along? 26, 27, and 28 (wow - I'm really behind!)
Maternity Clothes? All the time on the bottom and most of the time on the top. It's finally cooling off some which is good since most of the tops I have are long sleeved.
Weight Gain? 25 pounds, I think. They didn't tell me my official weight gain at my last appointment, just that I was on track.
Stretch Marks? I think I noticed one of these on the side of my belly last week. I haven't really been able to see it since then. I'm shocked that more of these haven't popped up yet, since my mom had a lot from her pregnancies.
Sleep? Pretty good lately, I usually just wake up once a night to use the bathroom. I'm sleeping on my side with a pillow under my belly which really helps. The cooler temps have been great too.
Best Moment of the Week: Celebrating turning 30 with my parents, sister, and brother in law. Having a long weekend off from work :)
Weirdest Comment: Ah, this really comes and goes. It's mainly stuff from people at my office, like commenting about my size, either saying that I'm getting big or still really small. It's funny how differently people seem to view the size of my belly :) When I went to the HR department to get my FM.LA paperwork, our HR person did ask how much weight I had gained, which I thought was rather odd. I think she was assuming I hadn't gained hardly any at all, but still, what kind of a question is that?
Movement? Yes, all the time. I still only feel it when I'm sitting down though. Honestly, this was one thing I thought I wouldn't really like about pregnancy, but I love it!
Gender? It's a boy!
What I miss? Being able to take full breaths - I think I'm starting to run out of room in there.
Symptoms: Getting full really quickly after eating, quite a bit of gas the past few days, things are really starting to feel full in my abdomen area.
Milestones: The nursery is pretty close to being finished. All of the furniture is set up, I just need to do the decorating part :) Some of that I'll be waiting and doing after he's born too since I want the room to really fit him.
Our first baby shower (the triple one) is this weekend. I don't know if I'm looking forward to it or just dreading it. The responses I've gotten when I've told people about it are really funny. Seriously, everyone I've talked to thinks it's totally bizarre to make 3 people have a baby shower all together. I'm wondering how long it will last. If everyone opens their gifts up it could take hours.
Emotions: They have been up and down lately. I'm really excited about this pregnancy and being a mom, but I'm also starting to get more emotional about things. The other day I spent a lot of time feeling worried and nervous about my job, which is crazy. I just need to focus on this baby and not worry about things I can't control.

Week 25
How Far Along? 25 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? All the time on the bottom now, a few tops, but I'm starting to have more and more trouble getting them to cover the panel of my pants.
Weight Gain? 21 pounds, I think. They didn't tell me my official weight gain at my last appointment, just that I was on track.
Stretch Marks? None yet - I'm sure these are coming though.
Sleep? Pretty good lately. I'm sleeping on my side with a pillow under my belly which really helps. The cooler temps have been great too.
Best Moment of the Week: Seeing my parents, siblings, and some of my extended family this past weekend. I hadn't seen most of them for a while so it was fun for them to see my belly :)
Weirdest Comment: Nothing stands out this week.
Movement? Yes. It's still about the same. Sometimes it's a lot and sometimes it's not as much.
Gender? It's a boy!
What I miss? Being able to take full breaths - I think I'm starting to run out of room in there.
Symptoms: Weight gain, pain in my tailbone when sitting (this comes and goes), heavy feeling in my abdomen when standing or walking for a while, things are starting to feel a lot more crowded in my abdomen.
Milestones: Picking up the rest of the furniture for the nursery this weekend. I just need to change out the handles and steam clean the chair, but otherwise it's in perfect condition.
Emotions: Relaxed. I'm finally getting to the point in my pregnancy where I actually believe this will work out. It's a nice feeling.

Weeks 23 and 24
Wow - time just keeps getting away from me. It's amazing how quickly time seems to be moving during this pregnancy. I always hear people complaining about how their pregnancy seems to drag on and on. Maybe it's because this is something I've wanted for so long, but so far I feel like this pregnancy has passed incredibly quickly.
How Far Along? 23 and 24 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? All the time on the bottom now, a few tops, but I'm starting to have more and more trouble getting them to cover the panel of my pants. I don't have many short sleeve maternity tops, so I'll have to see what I can figure out. It's going to cool off here really soon, so I don't really want to buy any if I don't have to.
Weight Gain? 20 pounds, I think.
Best Moment of the Week: Hearing the baby's heartbeat at the doctor's appointment - it's amazing every single time.
Weirdest Comment: This week I was chatting with a co-worker (who works in another office, so I don't see her often) and mentioned that I had left work early the other day for a doctor's appointment. And she got all excited and said, "Was this your first one?" Um, no I'm over 5 months pregnant! I think sometimes people just don't think through what they are saying.
Movement? Yes. Some days it's all the time and some days (like this past Saturday) I start to get nervous that I haven't felt anything all day. The past two days I've felt tons of movement though which has helped me to relax a bit.
Gender? It's a boy!
What I miss? Honestly, nothing :)
Symptoms: Weight gain, pain in my tailbone when sitting (this comes and goes), heavy feeling in my abdomen when standing or walking for a while.
Milestones: Completing our gift registry. Honestly, I would have waited longer on this, but my in-laws are throwing that triple shower next month so I needed to have it ready to go.
Viability week - I know he needs to stay put a lot longer, but it's nice to know that if he were born now there's a chance he would survive.
Emotions: Happy! I'm also going to be seeing some of my extended family this weekend for a family function which I'm really excited about. I have not seen any of them since announcing our pregnancy.

Week 22
How Far Along? 22 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? All the time on the bottom now, but still no tops yet, most of my regular tops have still be long enough so far, but they are starting to creep up.
Weight Gain? 18 pounds, I think. We'll see at my appointment on Friday.
Stretch Marks? None yet - I'm sure these are coming though.
Sleep? It's getting better. I'm usually just getting up once or twice to use the bathroom, but falling back asleep quickly.
Best Moment of the Week: Making some real progress on the nursery.
Weirdest Comment: This week I may have received the weirdest comment of my whole life! A women in my office, who I've never said more than a polite "Hello." to made a comment in our break room about how she noticed me at a staff meeting the day before and wanted to make fun of me about something that she was sure my husband had mentioned. Then she pointed at her chest and basically said that I had no bo.obs before and now I did! Hahahaha! How inappropriate is that? I was in the bathroom a few minutes later and my boss came in to and said, "I guess people look all sense of what they should and shouldn't say when they are talking to people who are pregnant." It was truly one of the strangest things someone has ever said to me.
Movement? Yes, it's getting stronger and more regular, although it's still not all the time. I've heard every baby is different in this, but I'm going to check with the doctor at our next appointment.
Gender? It's a boy!
What I miss? Honestly, nothing :)
Symptoms: Weight gain, having trouble getting comfortable at night, pain in my tailbone when sitting (this comes and goes).
Milestones: Getting ready to register. I'm still a little freaked out that we are actually doing this, but it really seems like it's time to get going on this step.
Emotions: Happy! I'm getting more and more comfortable being pregnant.

21 Weeks
How Far Along? 21 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? All the time on the bottom now, but still no tops yet. This week I did buy some regular tops from Target that are a bit longer and I think will really help cover up the panel in my maternity pants.
Weight Gain? 15 or 16 pounds, I think. Still seems to be right on track.
Stretch Marks? None yet - I'm sure these are coming though.
Sleep? It's getting better. I'm usually just getting up once to use the bathroom, but the past few mornings my back has been sore when I wake up. I think I'm just having a hard time getting comfortable.
Best Moment of the Week: Seeing our baby on the ultrasound and finding out it's a boy!
Weirdest Comment: Nothing pregnancy related. There was an annoying sales person at BRU who kept asking if I needed help, even as I was on my way to find J after using the bathroom! I really wanted to say, "Well, I really didn't need your help in there!" I think going to that store is a necessary evil, I'd rather not go, but we really don't have anywhere else that sells baby stuff near our house.
Movement? Yes, it's getting stronger and more regular. J was even able to feel something this week!
Gender? It's a boy!
What I miss? Honestly, nothing :)
Symptoms: Poor sleep, weight gain, having trouble getting comfortable at night.
Milestones: Ultrasound and finding out it's a boy!

Emotions: Happy and also starting to become more relaxed. I'm not sure if this is because we're past the midway point now, or what. I've just really started feeling like everything's going to be okay and I'm focusing more on enjoying and loving every moment of pregnancy.

Week 20
How Far Along? 20 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? All the time on the bottom now, but still no tops yet. Although I've been looking around for some tops to get me through these last few weeks of summer. One of my good friends let me borrow her maternity clothes and she had lots of great long sleeve tops that I can't wait to wear.
Weight Gain? 15 pounds, I think. Still seems to be right on track.
Stretch Marks? None yet - I'm sure these are coming though.
Sleep? Still the same. Usually it's not great. I'm also starting to have trouble getting comfortable at night. I'm worried this is only going to get worse!
Best Moment of the Week: Having a weekend without anything that we "had" to do. We got some stuff done which was nice, but overall I thought it was pretty relaxing.
Weirdest Comment: Someone at work today asked if I was gaining weight. She knows I'm pregnant, so obviously I'm gaining weight, but I still thought it was kind of a funny thing to ask someone.
Movement? Yes, it's still kind of subtle and not really hard yet, so I'm looking forward to feeling the movements get stronger.
Gender? Our ultrasound is tomorrow (21 weeks, 2 days) and we are planning to find out then!
What I miss? Nothing this week.
Symptoms: Poor sleep, weight gain, having trouble getting comfortable at night.
Milestones: Movement!

Week 19
How Far Along? 19 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? I officially made the transition into maternity pants on Wednesday. So far, so good. I haven't worn any maternity tops yet, but sometimes I'm worried that my pre-pregnancy tops aren't quite long enough to cover the band on the top of maternity pants.
Weight Gain?13 pounds - the doctor said based on my pre-pregnancy BMI I'm right on track
Stretch Marks? None yet - I'm sure these are coming though.
Sleep? It's really hit or miss. Some nights I'm up several times and other nights it's only once. Our really long stretch of 90 degree temps has finally broken and I think that's helping. Last night we were actually able to sleep with the windows open.
Best Moment of the Week: Starting to feel some movement.
Weirdest Comment: Nothing really weird this week, but people have been noticing my belly a little more - sometimes the things they say are odd, like "Look at your little belly." and then just stand their awkwardly. Is there a correct way to respond to that?
Movement? Yes, this is starting to happen. The first few days when I felt little things, I wasn't totally sure if it was the baby or just digestion or something, but now I'm pretty sure it's the baby. I notice it the most right after I've eaten :)
Gender? We are hoping to find out at our ultrasound next Tuesday!
What I miss? Nothing this week.
Symptoms: Poor sleep, weight gain, round ligament pain.
Milestones: Movement!

Emotions: Happy and so thankful that this pregnancy is progressing smoothly. My SIL, who is about 15 weeks pregnant, had some spotting this weekend. That's just so scary, I'm thankful everyday I haven't had any scares yet.

Week 17
How Far Along? 17 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? Last week I bought some maternity shorts and I've been putting them on when I get home from work each day.
Weight Gain? I think10 pounds. My scale is crazy though, one day this week I weighed 5 pounds less than it said the day before! I think I need to just weigh myself every few days instead of every morning.
Stretch Marks? None yet - I'm sure these are coming though.
Sleep? Not great. I wake up all the time, with no idea why. Plus almost every time I wake up I'm on my back, which I know I'm not supposed to be. It's really strange since I don't usually like sleeping on my back anyway.
Weirdest Comment: Someone I work with asked if she could touch my stomach. I said, maybe later when it's a little bigger. How strange, plus it's someone I am not close with. Another person I work commented to me privately how odd she thought it was.
Movement? I don't think I've felt anything yet. Sometimes I think I may feel something, but I'm not sure yet.
Gender? Too soon to tell, but this is coming soon!
What I miss? Nothing.
Symptoms: Bad sleep, weight gain, this week my face was breaking out some (it seems to be clearing up though).
Weekly Wisdom: Try not the let the comments random people make bother you, they have no idea what they are talking about :)
Milestones: Nothing major, we'll be finding out the gender soon which is big!

Week 16
I hate to post two of these in a row, but I don't want to forget to document this journey.
How Far Along? 16 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? None yet, but getting closer. So far this week I've only wore dresses which seem to have little more room. Still not much luck on the maternity clothes - that's for another post :)
Weight Gain? I think 7 pounds.
Stretch Marks? None yet - I'm sure these are coming though.
Sleep? Getting bad. It's really hot here and even though our AC works great, it's difficult to sleep at night sometimes. Plus our cat is driving me crazy, he wakes me up at least once a night because he's right in my face or trying to lay on top of me. It's really annoying.
Best Moment of the Week? Probably telling more people that I'm pregnant. It's kind of fun to see how excited people are. Although it's a little odd for me too because it's been a long time since I've been excited to hear that someone else was pregnant.
Weirdest Comment: Nothing that was really weird this week.
Movement? Not yet.
Gender? Too soon to tell.
What I miss? Nothing.
Symptoms: Occasional pains below my belly. My doctor said it's normal and just things "stretching out." They don't happen often, but they are really sudden and then go away quickly. I'm also starting to feel a little more achy by the end of the day.
Weekly Wisdom: Start looking for day care early! I've only been looking for a few days, but so far it seems like a real pain. Crossing my fingers that something amazing pops up soon!
Milestones: This week I started searching for day care. So far I haven't found much that seems promising :( So, I'm not sure if this is really a milestone or not, but it sure is important.
Picture: I am taking these! I'm planning to add a separate page on here with all the pictures so I can see the changes.

15 Weeks
Last week was so crazy, I totally didn't have time to write this out. Hopefully I'm remembering the right information in the right weeks.
How Far Along? 15 Weeks
Maternity Clothes? None yet. Occasionally wearing a bel.la band with my pants, but that's about it. Most stuff, especially my lower rise pants seem to still be fitting well.
Weight Gain? I think 7 pounds. At my doctor's appointment, the doctor didn't say how much I gained, just that it was good I was gaining weight.
Stretch Marks? None yet - I'm sure these are coming though.
Sleep? Better, but it may have been because I was exhausted from all the preparations for Vacation Bible School.
Best Moment of the Week? Probably the end of Vacation Bible School. I'm so glad to have time to relax now :)
Weirdest Comment: Someone at my office was asking how far along I was and after I told her, she asked if I had known all this time and not told anyone or just found out. Um, are there really adult people who go 15 weeks without knowing they are pregnant? And, is that really an appropriate questions for someone you don't really know?
Movement? Not yet.
Gender? Too soon to tell.
What I miss? Nothing.
Symptoms: Overall, I feel great. My clothes for some reason seem to be fitting more comfortably this week. I'm still guessing I'm a few weeks away from maternity clothes though.
Weekly Wisdom: This week I've had a few people tell me how wonderful of an experience pregnancy is. I like this much better than people telling you horror stories about their pregnancy and deliveries.

Emotions: Still really happy and in disbelief that this is really happening.
Picture: This week I completely ran out of time to even take a picture! I need to get better about that, I'm assuming I'll want to look back on this changing belly one day.
