Things are Still Looking Okay

Well, I'm 11 DPO today and my temp was exactly the same as yesterday.  I'm driving myself crazy deciding whether or not to take a HPT tomorrow.  Does 12 days after an IUI seem too early?  My RE said to wait a full two weeks, but I am really considering testing just a few days earlier than that.  Although I absolutely hate seeing the negative test, it's devastating every single time.

Here's my chart so far this month:

So, if you were me would you test tomorrow, or try to hold out a little longer??

  1. I read somewhere that it takes 3-4 days post-implantation for there to be enough hCG in your urine to cause a positive pregnancy test.

With that said, I'd wait a couple more days to test, just in cause Baby only implanted on Tuesday.

Good luck with whatever you decide. My fingers are crossed for you.

  2. Its so hard to pee or not to pee lol. I think that dip is kind of promising. They say 2 days after a dip you can get a positive!! I say if your temps stays up test!! Gl hun

  3. My RE always tests with a beta at 12dpo (unless it is a weekend), and has told me a million times that it is best to NOT test with an HPT before 14dpo. However, how many times have you read of women getting a + as early as 8dpo??? If it were me, I'd wait it out until Sunday... easier said than done though :)

  4. Personally, I can't resist. I would rather be prepared in some way rather than waiting for the call. 12DPO is definitely far enough out that you could see a + if you're pregnant. That said, if it creates more distress rather than relieves the stress of the unknown, I would avoid it. I think putting yourself in the place of most peace is most important...

  5. Tough question. I always think it depends on what you have going on during the time frame of your possible testing. For example, if you know you are going to church on Sunday and will see all of those families and it would ruin your day, then don't test until after church on Sunday.
I don't know, I always held out, because I figured the chance of a positive is better than a negative.
Good luck, keep us posted, I am thinking of you!!!!
